Dodgers vs. Cubs 7/18

Lady Dodgers continue to ROLL!!!

The girls in blue are peaking at the right time of the year, earning their third straight victory in a 1-0 nail-biter over the Cubs on Monday night. The Cubs were on the verge of a rally in the third inning, loading the bases with no outs. But a heads up double play at first, followed by a clutch strikeout, left the Dodgers unscathed. Fourth inning heroics led to the second consecutive walk off victory for the ladies - way to go! With only two more games left, the girls of summer have a chance to end the season on a high note - especially with Dilly Bar night this Wednesday!

Dodgers win in dramatic fashion!

What is more exciting than bases loaded, bottom of the last inning, your team up to bat, and a walk off hit seals a victory? That happened for the lady Dodgers on Wednesday evening as they took down the Twins in a close 4-3 contest. Our pitching was tremendous for the entire game, and the bats came alive when needed. The Twins made a few great plays in the field, or else the game wouldn't have been so close!

Extra Innings Heartbreaker

It was an exciting finish on Wednesday night, as the Dodgers and Giants battled into extra frames before settling the historic rivalry. A close play at the plate gave the Giants the 5-4 victory, but the girls played their hearts out at the plate and in the field. We are seeing some great improvement in our hitting and fielding - now let's put it all together for the week of July 11!

Hotter than Fireworks on the 4th of July

The Dodgers continued to roll tonight with a solid performance against the Cubs. We combined timely hitting with some excellent pitching to end up on the good side of 6-1 score. Hopefully our hot streak will last through the holiday weekend and into our next game on Wednesday, July 6. Marching in the parade is still unknown, and we will hopefully find out asap and let everyone know through email and the team site. If we don’t march, hopefully we will see each other at the parade and Klode – it’s Coach Taft’s favorite holiday!
